1. What is Bridge VoiceSMS Roam?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam is an add-on plan that gives you a bundle of calls and texts to use while traveling across the Bridge Alliance member operators' and partners' networks.

 

To be eligible for the Bridge VoiceSMS Roam, you need to have a local mobile plan with a Bridge Alliance member operator. Please check with your respective local Bridge Alliance member operator for more details.

 

2. Who can avail of this plan?

 

Any Globe Postpaid plan (from Legacy plans to the new My Super Plan) can avail of Bridge VoiceSMS Roam. The offer is not available to Prepaid and TM subscribers.

 

3. What roaming services are included in the Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plan?

 

You can choose from several plans with calls and text messages that can be used to:

  • • Receive incoming calls from anywhere around the world
  • • Make outgoing calls back to your home territory
  • • Make outgoing calls to visited territory local numbers
  • • Send text messages to any country globally

 

Text messages received while roaming is free of charge and therefore not deducted from the Bridge VoiceSMS Roam bundle.

4. Where can I use Bridge VoiceSMS Roam?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam can be used across all Bridge Alliance member operators' and partners' networks:

 

 

Please note that if you are travelling to multiple Bridge Alliance territories, you will need to purchase one Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plan for each territory you are visiting.

 

5. What are the available Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans?

 

We offer three different-sized call and text bundles so you can choose a plan that best meets your usage needs. All plans are valid for 7 days.

6. How do I subscribe to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans?

 

Postpaid subscribers may subscribe to the Bridge VoiceSMS Roam through the following channels:

 

  • • SMS (text) based registration

  • • Globe Stores/Hotline

Visit any Globe Store or call the 24-hour Hotline 730-1212 to request for Bridge VoiceSMS Roam. An SMS confirmation will be sent to you shortly.

 

Terms and Conditions:

  • • Registration to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam is free if availed in the Philippines.
  • • If registered outside the Philippines, SMS roaming rates will apply per registration.
  • • In cases of fraud, Globe reserves the right to discontinue your BVS subscription.

 

7. What calls can I make or receive with Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans?

 

With Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans, you can receive incoming calls from anywhere around the world and make outgoing calls to your home territory and visited territory local numbers.


For example, a SingTel customer subscribed to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam visiting Australia and roaming on the Optus network can use his/her bundle to:

 

  • • Make calls to local numbers within Australia.
  • • Make calls back to Singapore.
  • • Receive calls from anywhere.

 

8. What text messages are included in Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans?

 

With Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans, you can send standard text messages to anywhere around the world. Text messages received while roaming is free of charge and therefore not deducted from the Bridge VoiceSMS Roam bundle.

 

9. Can I use Bridge VoiceSMS Roam for local calls and texts when I am in my home territory?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam can only be used for calls and texts outside your home territory on Bridge Alliance member operators' and partners' networks.

 

10. Can I use Bridge VoiceSMS Roam for data roaming?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam can only be used for calls and texts outside your home territory on Bridge Alliance member operators' and partners' networks. Bridge Alliance offers both postpaid and prepaid data roaming plans. Find out more at www.bridgealliance.com.

 

11. Can I use Bridge VoiceSMS Roam across multiply Bridge Alliance member operators' network?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam can only be used in one country at any one time.


Example: You subscribed to a BVS plan for Singapore. The plan is only valid for usage in Singapore. If on Day 2 you choose to fly to Malaysia, the same plan cannot be used in Malaysia. You will have to subscribe to another BVS plan for your usage in Malaysia.

 

12. How do I ensure that I am always logged on to a Bridge Alliance member operator's network?

 

You can ensure you are always logged on to a Bridge Alliance member operator's and partner's network by using manual network selection on your handset. Please note the following steps may differ slightly from phone to phone.


Step 1: Select Menu.
Step 2: Select Settings.
Step 3: Select Network or Connectivity.
Step 4: Select Operator selection or Search mode.
Step 5: Select Manual and your phone will now search for mobile networks that are available around you.
Step 6: Select one of the following Bridge Alliance member operators' network:

  • • Australia (Optus)
  • • Hong Kong (CSL)
  • • India (Airtel)
  • • Indonesia (Telkomsel)
  • • Korea (SK Telecom)
  • • Macau (CTM)
  • • Malaysia (Maxis)
  • • Philippines (Globe Telecom)
  • • Singapore (SingTel Mobile)
  • • Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile)
  • • Thailand (AIS)

 

To revert to automatic network selection, repeat Step 1 to Step 4. Then select Automatic and your phone will now select any available network automatically.

 

13. If I am logged on to a NON-Bridge Alliance member operators' network, how will I be charged?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans are only applicable for usage on Bridge Alliance member operators' and partners' networks. If you are logged on to a NON Bridge Alliance member operator's network, you will not be able to enjoy the benefits of Bridge VoiceSMS Roam and the prevailing call and SMS roaming charges will apply.

 

14. How will I be charged for usage beyond the bundle, i.e. after I have used 15 call minutes/texts, 30 call minutes/texts, or 60 call minutes/texts?

 

For usage beyond the bundle, you will be charged based on the prevailing call and SMS roaming rate of your home operator. Please check with your respective local Bridge Alliance member operator for information on the prevailing rates.

 

15. How will I be charged for calls to territories other than the Bridge Alliance territory I am visiting and my home territory?

 

For calls to other territories, you will be charged based on the prevailing call and SMS roaming rate of your home operator. Please check with your respective local Bridge Alliance member operator for information on the prevailing rates.

 

16. Can I carry forward any unused call minutes and text messages?

 

Any unused call minutes and text messages will be forfeited on expiry of the plan.

 

17. What is the validity of Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans?

 

Bridge VoiceSMS Roam is valid for 7 days regardless of the denomination in a single Bridge Alliance territory, including the day the plan is activated, until 23:59 hours of the seventh day based on the time zone of the visited country.

 

For example, you are a Maxis customer and you activate a Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plan for Thailand on November 1. The plan is valid for usage in Thailand until expiry at 23:59 hours on November 7 based on the time zone in Thailand.

 

If you choose to fly to Indonesia on November 3, then the same plan will not be valid for usage and you will need to activate another Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plan for your usage in Indonesia.

 

Then, if you choose to fly back to Thailand on November 5, you can continue to use the original plan until expiry at 23:59 hours on November 7 in Thailand.

18. Can I register more than once to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans?

 

Yes, multiple registrations are allowed and the longer validity will apply.

 

For example, you register and subscribe to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam 30 for $32 for Thailand on November 1 then you register and subscribe to another Bridge VoiceSMS Roam 15 for $18 for Thailand on November 2, your new expiry will be on November 8 in Thailand. The latest subscription will be added to your account's balance.

 

19. What will happen if I entered an invalid keyword or denomination?

 

You will receive an error message reply that your registration is not successful, therefore you will not be charged for the plan you intended to register. However if you register abroad, you will still be charged the SMS roaming rates.

 

20. What happens to my subscription if I come back to the Philippines before the validity period is over?

 

Your subscription to BVS is valid only for seven (7) days. As long as you have not consumed the allocated call minutes or texts, you can continue to enjoy the offer if you come back to the country subscribed within seven (7) days. Note that while you are in the Philippines, your BVS is not valid and regular charges will apply.

 

21. If I am currently subscribed to PowerRoam, can I also register and subscribe to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam? Or Vice versa?

 

If you have an existing PowerRoam subscription, you cannot register and subscribe to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam plans. You may choose to unsubscribe from or wait for your PowerRoam subscription to expire before you can register to Bridge VoiceSMS Roam.
