Acceptable Terms on Fair Use for Promos with Unlimited Offers
The Acceptable Terms on Fair Use for Globe unlimited promos is aligned with industry practice of telecommunications providers all over the world. It is intended to ensure that all customers get to equally share an enjoyable experience using Globe services. As such, the Acceptable Terms on Fair Use may be used to protect Globe customers against entities or persons utilizing Globe services in a manner that runs counter to the intent of the promo, fraudulent, or exceeding normal standards of use.
In your purchase or use of our products and services, you agree to our Acceptable Terms on Fair Use and agree to be bound by the policy.
Please see below the terms relating to the unlimited service/promo that you have subscribed for.
1. Available to active Globe subscribers
2. Applicable to Globe-to-Globe, Globe-to-TM and Globe to other network calls and/or text only
3. Globe provides unlimited texts, unlimited calls or unlimited texts and calls to be used from your mobile phone for private, personal, non-commercial purposes.
4. Unlimited promos may not be used with any other device other than your mobile phone or in a way that adversely impacts the service to other Globe Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers.
5. Globe shall implement policies to ensure that all subscribers get to equally share an enjoyable call and text experience. This policy is designed to protect those who might be affected by the few subscribers who use the unlimited promos for activities other than its intended use. Acceptable Terms on Fair Use applies:
a. to sending of spam or unsolicited bulk messages like political and promotional advertisements, financial loans or recruitments
b. to sending of fraudulent messages or bogus promotional offers
c. if your usage of unlimited calls /unlimited texts /unlimited calls and unlimited texts is unreasonably high
6. Your usage of an unlimited promo is excessive or unreasonable as defined below:
a. It is unreasonable/excessive if your usage adversely affects the Globe network and another Globe subscriber's use or access to Globe services.
b. Excessive use means calls or text usage per day is significantly higher than one's normal usage.
7. If Globe reasonably suspects that you are not acting in accordance with the Acceptable Terms on Fair Use, Globe reserves the right to suspend your unlimited subscription and charge you under regular rates, or disconnect your account.
8. We reserve the right to vary the Acceptable Terms on Fair Use without prior notice.
Acceptable Terms on Fair Use for Promos with Unlimited Offers
1. I was not informed of this policy of Fair Use / I was not warned prior to deactivation.
Upon each subscriber's registration to the SUPERTXTALL promo, the confirmation message includes a guideline on Acceptable Terms of Use, with a link that directs to the Globe website. Additionally, prior to deactivation, Globe sends sufficient SMS warnings to subscribers with unusually high usage to regulate their use of the promo.
2. Why do you call your service "unlimited" when it's not really unlimited?
The unlimited offer was intended for personal use only. NTC rules that promos are subjected to Acceptable Terms on Fair Use of Globe. Globe Telecom reserves the right to terminate/suspend promo subscription/s that violates this policy. This policy prevents network abuse, allows us to fully optimize network capacity and maintain quality of its services for subscribers.
3. What is your threshold? How do you define normal usage?
Globe Telecom cannot divulge the set of thresholds, but this varies depending on the overall usage and may change without prior notice. Our system initiates the monitoring and as soon as it detects that your usage is significantly higher than the normal terms of use, it will trigger promo deactivation.
4. I was not able to enjoy my unli promo subscription for the full 30 days. Can you reverse the charges for my 30-day subscription?
Globe Telecom cannot entertain any requests for reversal of charges. If your 30-day subscription was pre-terminated, it was most likely because your usage for the duration of your subscription far exceeded the normal 30-day usage of an average subscriber.
5. Can you reactivate the promo?
Unfortunately, Globe Telecom cannot entertain any requests for reactivation of the promo. Your registration will remain blocked for the rest of your remaining subscription days and for the next 30 days.
6. When will you allow me to re- register?
You may register again 30 days after the end of your remaining subscription days.
7. I am under an All-Unli Plan and the SuperTxtAll promo is the only reason why I applied for a postpaid line with Globe. There are no other promos that interest me, and I am under a 24-month lock-up.
Since you have been deactivated from the SuperTxtAll promo, you have been automatically subscribed to the SuperTxt promo, which is more affordable at Php349/month. This promo still allows you to send unlimited texts to Globe and TM numbers. However, texts to other networks shall now be charged the regular rate of P1 per message. Please note, however, that your SuperTxt service is also subject to the network's Fair Use Policy.
8. I have the All-Unli Plan, what will happen now that you deactivated my Supertxtall registration.
You have the option to subscribe to our other unlimited promo offers. For the same price, you may avail of our SuperUnli, which allows you to make unlimited calls and texts to all Globe and TM numbers. We also have SuperTxt, which is more affordable at P349/month. This will allow you to send unlimited texts to all Globe and TM numbers only.
If you are not interested in any other promos, all your texts shall be charged the regular rate of P1 per message.
10. Is the NTC aware of this policy? Yes. NTC rules that promos are subjected to Acceptable Terms on Fair Use of Globe. Globe Telecom reserves the right to terminate/suspend promo subscription/s that violates this policy. This policy prevents network abuse, allows us to fully optimize network capacity and maintain quality of its services for subscribers.
Policy on Text Spam
1. How do I report text spammers?
You may report the text spammers through the Talk2Globe HL at 211, toll-free from your Globe mobile phone or 730-1000 through your landline. Text SPAM may also be reported through our live agents via Chat Assist, just log on to www.globe.com.ph. Please make sure to take note of the mobile number that sent you the SPAM.
2. What is the policy for text promos?
The policy states that text offers are applicable for person to person transactions only. They are not intended and should not be used for spamming. Globe reserves the right to suspend promo subscription/s of accounts suspected to be engaged in such activities.
3. What is considered SPAM?
SPAM is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages. SPAM messages are not necessarily offensive, and may inform the person to join a cause, join a training, apply for a loan or campaign for a politician.
4. Why is Globe promoting control measures on text SPAM?
Globe has decided to reinforce the control measures on text SPAM to protect our valued subscribers from unsolicited SMS broadcasts. Rest assured that we are always looking for ways to serve our subscribers better.
5. Can I have my promo subscription reactivated or my account unblocked?
We cannot entertain any requests for the reactivation of your promo subscription or the unblocking of your account. NTC rules that promos are applicable for person to person transaction only and must not be used for commercial purposes. Globe Telecom reserves the right to suspend promo subscription/s suspected to be engaged in such activities.
