That's why artificial intelligence and machine learning are increasingly becoming an important aspect of the cybersecurity solutions that you ought to be looking for,” he said. Ransomware is the single biggest threat to information security at present. Ransomware levels remained high and increased steadily over the course of the year. It went up by 435% from 2019 to 2020, with a whopping $178,000 payout per event as of 2020.
