Mompreneurs Get Early Pampering for Mother’s Day

It’s tough being a mom because embracing motherhood is a life-altering decision but nonetheless very fulfilling. Some even choose to leave their corporate jobs and start their own business to have more control of their time as an entrepreneur and fulfill their motherly duties and take care of the family.
To honor the triumphs and acknowledge the struggles these so-called “mompreneurs” face every day, Globe myBusiness and Let’s Radiate Mare surprised them with an early Mother’s Day treat at La Provence Hair and Beauty Salon in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
“We are happy that Globe myBusiness initiated an event like this. We are glad to partner with them because they are very much aligned with our thrust to empower these ladies to become successful in business and become an inspiration to other Filipinas who want to become entrepreneurs. Having a trusted digital partner like Globe myBusiness can help mompreneurs in running their business more efficiently so that they can spend more time enjoying what matters most to them,” said Rachelle Estalilla, co-founder and community director of Let’s Radiate Mare.
For her part, Gaile Guevarra, Globe myBusiness Marketing Services Head, said: “More than just celebrating motherhood, we want to celebrate mothers who are also mompreneurs. We want to say ‘thank you’ for their hard work and for contributing to our country’s growth. We want to let them know that Globe myBusiness empowers SMEs by providing them with digital solutions that can help them run their business with ease. In Globe, our purpose is to help businesses flourish and make Filipinos’ dreams come true, and the country admired.”

The pampering session was participated in by Let’s Radiate Mare community business owners and the winners of the Globe myBusiness “MOMpreneur MOMents” social media contest who took time off from their busy schedule to have their nails done, have a haircut or enjoy a relaxing massage.
Using Globe myBusiness GoCanvas, a digital form builder that lets businesses collect, file and process forms online, participants only needed to input their information and the pampering service they want to avail of simply by using their mobile device. This enabled La Provence at the Central Mall in BGC to generate data real-time for better customer experience.
Aside from enjoying their “me-time,” the mompreneurs were also given the opportunity to showcase their products and get to know the importance of having a trusted digital business partner to help them achieve success in doing business.
Grace Cabanilla, the owner of Gavrie’s Grace of Cakes and one of the winners of Globe myBusiness online contest, makes good use of social media in promoting her baked products. She started her business in 2013 to satisfy her passion for baking but it was only last year when she decided to legitimize her business, leave her office job and go full time with Gavrie’s.
Baker Grace Cabanilla of Gavrie’s proudly offers samples of her bestselling Browned Butter Muscovado Cookies during the event.
Her brand became known when her Frozen Brazo and Browned Butter Muscovado Cookies were hailed as the best desserts at the Ultimate Taste Test Master’s Edition by Our Awesome Planet in 2018. Soon after receiving this accolade, orders started to pour in. Grace attested that technology has helped her in keeping up with the demands of the business.
