Saint Peter’s College of Ormoc School Year 2020-2021 All Set for the New Normal with Globe
In the new normal, educational institutions are finding ways to continue providing education in the absence of face-to-face classes. Schools around the country have slowly incorporated cloud-hosted learning as a teaching management tool. In partnership with Globe, Saint Peter's College Ormoc will ensure continuity of education powered by Brightspace Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Under the partnership, the institution secured Brightspace LMS licenses for 1000 students, which will be rolled out for academic year 2020-2021. This online platform will not only help with the delivery of educational courses for students, but will also serve as an application for staff documentation, reporting, tracking, and automation of all learning as well as development programs.
“Saint Peter's College of Ormoc embraces the new normal with SPC- LMS powered by Brightspace LMS in partnership with Globe Telecom,” shares Sr. Mary Vincent Feliciano, OSB, School President of Saint Peter’s College of Ormoc. "With this technology, we hope to make learning and conducting of classes seamless and even more engaging and collaborative for everyone in the school community."
Aside from the LMS systems, the institution also acquired managed WiFi and direct internet from Globe last year. Presently, Saint Peter’s College of Ormoc is fully equipped with a suite of online solutions for teachers and students to freely collaborate and communicate in the comfort and safety of their homes.
