Gaming Goes Extra at G Battle Zone Esports Tournament
Globe goes #ExtraGDayEveryday as it unleashes an epic gaming experience for esports enthusiasts at the much-anticipated G Battle Zone fight for glory.
This year’s G Battle Zone consists of G Legends and G Radiant Cups. The esports tournament is a staple at 917 GDay, Globe’s annual celebration to give back to its loyal subscribers.
“Young people have been constrained by the pandemic. What’s going for them is that they know how to maximize technology and the digital tools available to make the most of the present. Gaming is one of those opportunities that they learned as it has become more affordable and accessible. With G Battle Zone, we are providing them a place where they can socialize, especially now that the gaming communities have become more open,” said Jerome Patalud, Head of Globe Rewards.
While in the past G Battle Zone only featured the well-loved Mobile Legends, it has now upped the excitement with the inclusion of VALORANT, a first-person shooter PC title very popular in the gamer market today.
Extra-legendary and extra-flawless teams get a chance to take home winnings from a P750,000 GCash prize pool for a #GameWellPlayed as they hit the Mobile Legends arena or roam the VALORANT maps.
Fans of the games can watch the tournament prelims and playoffs on September 17 to 21 via the Globe GGWP Facebook page.
The G Battle Zone Grand Finals will be held at the SM MOA Atrium on September 24 where Globe promises to transform the way esports enthusiasts experience gaming and all things digital with Globe x MetaverseGo. It will be available on livestream through the same social media page.
