Globe Platinum gave its customers another exclusive experience as it participated in the country’s largest auction event, Salcedo Auctions’ The Well Appointed Life: An Auction Weekend. Last September 17-18, 2016, guests were able to bid for almost 500 lots in four sale categories: Connoisseur Collection, Important Philippine Art, Rare Automobiles, and Fine Jewelry & Timepieces.

Exclusive pieces were also available only for Globe Platinum clients that include an early Romulo Galicano oil on canvas painting, a one-of-a-kind Graff diamond ring, and a trio of Patek Philippe watches: an Aquanaut Travel Time Ref. 5164A-001, a collectible Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980/1A-001, and a rare grand complication automatic Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5136/1J. Guests were also treated to a private tour of all the auction pieces which prepared them for the auction proper.

The first auction day highlighted the Connoisseur Collection and the Important Philippine Art. The Connoisseur Collection features antique Philippine furniture, sterling silver, fine bone china, and valuable books and maps, while the highly anticipated Important Philippine Art sale, will offer artworks by old and modern Philippine masters and leading contemporary artists including National Artists Jose Joya, Ang Kiukok, BenCab, H.R. Ocampo, Cesar Legaspi, Fernando Amorsolo, and pieces by renowned modernists and contemporary artists Fernando Zobel, Romulo Olazo, Malang, Ronald Ventura, and Rodel Tapaya, among others.

On the second day, guests were able to bid from Fine Jewelry & Timepieces as well as the Rare Automobiles category. Fine Jewelry & Timepieces consisted of estate pieces, and diamond and precious colored gemstone adornments by Cartier, Bulgari, and Tiffany and Co., as well as vintage and modern horology by Patek Philippe, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, and Breguet. The Rare Automobiles auction were top-billed by a perfectly restored 1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base and a fully customized 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago.
