Globe to Suspend Mobile Services in Select Areas in Quiapo for 48 Hours

In compliance with NTC’s directive

In compliance with a directive from the National Telecommunications Commission upon the request of the Philippine National Police, Globe Telecom will temporarily suspend mobile services in Quiapo and neighboring vicinities for 48 hours, effective immediately. This means that Globe customers within the said areas may not be able to access call, text, and mobile data services while the suspension of services is in effect.

Globe General Counsel Atty. Froilan Castelo said that mobile services, including internet connection, would be restored as soon as the NTC has given clearance for the company to do so. “We appeal for our customers’ understanding during this temporary shutdown of mobile services in the said area,” he said.

UPDATE as of May 8, 2017 9:26 a.m.:

Globe mobile services in areas surrounding Quiapo, Manila have already been restored upon the order of National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). We ask for patience and understanding of our customers affected by this NTC order. Please continue enjoying our services. Thank you.
