Asticom Hopes To Break Into the Multi-Billion Peso Shared Services Market With ABSI

Asticom Technology, Inc., a shared services company wholly owned by Globe, hopes to enter the multi-billion peso shared services market with its first subsidiary, Asti Business Services, Inc. (ABSI).

To do this, Asticom is eyeing ABSI to become the number one shared services provider in the country by delivering superior customer service and local expertise to international brands with local presence and country-based enterprises.

“We are targeting large enterprises within telco, tech, banking and fintech, logistics, and e-commerce among possible clients.  With this in mind, ABSI’s market focus in the near-term is on the domestic Business Process Services (BPS) market and at the same time setting our sights on winning international clients too. ABSI will provide services in the grey space between the Global In-house centers and contact centers industries focusing on HR, Finance, Customer Experience & Admin support,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, Asticom President and CEO.

ABSI is a business process solutions company providing enterprises with Above and Beyond Service Innovation with end-to-end solutions for human resources, administrative, finance, and information technology functions.  It has at least 1,000 people which is also its contribution to providing stable and dependable employment for the country’s workforce. It projects to generate an income of at least P500-million annually. To do this, Asticom has set its sights on both the domestic and international markets.

We are looking at a PHP 11.25 Billion market for the local IT-Business Service Outsourcing (BSO) market in the Philippines alone. The market is currently dominated by international enterprises with in-house centers. ABSI is also eyeing to play in an even bigger market to include the entire Southeast Asian region.

Launched recently, ABSI will provide shared services to a multitude of industries including telecommunications, financial technology, information technology, retail, health, logistics, automotive, banking, education, real estate, and aviation.

“More than launching a subsidiary, our goal is to showcase Filipino innovation and expertise as an international IT-BSO services provider,” added Gary Ona, ABSI General Manager.

ABSI offers digital platform solutions to help leading enterprises in their digital transformation journey such as customer experience and employee engagement. In addition to IT-enabled services such as web and mobile application development, ABSI will also focus on process optimization for front and back-end office functions ranging anywhere from customer verification to payroll administration and finance support services.
