Globe became the first Philippine organization to be honored with the title after receiving three Gold Awards for Employee Engagement, COVID-19 Response, and Employer of the Year. It was also feted with a Silver Award for HR Communication Strategy and a Bronze Award for Crisis Management and Recovery.
The recognition is a testament to Globe’s exceptional employee programs that greatly contributed to business continuity and ensured the safety and well-being of its workforce at the height of the pandemic.

To be named the HREA Overall Winner shows that the agile initiatives we’ve deployed were effective in protecting our most important asset– our employees. These accolades are a manifestation that the value of malasakit remains embedded in Globe’s collective DNA,” said Ato Jiao, Chief Human Resource Officer at Globe.
HREA 2022 acknowledged the digital tools that Globe’s HR department leveraged through its Alagang Globe program to ensure that employees remain safe and protected.
Globe’s pioneering HR bots DUDE, EVA, and Wanda ushered the digital revolution in the organization, inspiring internal groups to maximize various digital tools to address other needs and concerns of employees.
DUDE is a bot that checks on employees every day to monitor their health and wellness. EVA, meanwhile, issues HR bulletins and reminders, and also handles employees’ HR concerns. Meanwhile, Wanda is a recognition bot where employees may send kudos and thank yous to each other, boosting individual morale while inspiring teamwork.
Employee engagement programs and Newton 2.0, Globe’s digital learning environment, also plays an integral part in maintaining work-life balance.

The HR Excellence Awards 2022 is an international program organized by Singapore-based Human Resources Online, a leading international media that honors and celebrates distinguished organizations with outstanding work in employee engagement. It recognizes organizations from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Thailand.
