Globe announced that its Board of Directors has approved the declaration of the third quarterly distribution of cash dividend of P22.75 per share for holders of its common shares. The dividend will be paid to shareholders on record as of August 19, 2019, with the payment date on August 30, 2019.

“The board approval of the third quarter cash dividend, totaling about P3 billion, is consistent with the company’s commitment to creating shareholder value, knowing the importance of cash yield and total return to our shareholders,” Globe Chief Finance Officer Rizza Maniego-Eala said.

The approval of the third quarter cash dividend follows the announcement of Globe’s financial results for the first six months of the year which registered a sustained solid revenue growth and continued customer expansion for both mobile and broadband.  This was a result of strong performance from data-related segments aided by the company’s game-changing initiatives backed by a robust network.

For the first half of the year, Globe registered consolidated service revenues of P72.9 billion, 13% higher than levels posted a year ago. Consolidated EBITDA ended at P38.6 billion with EBITDA margin landing at 53% for the period, leading to a net income of P12.0 billion or 21% higher than the same period in 2018. Core net income stood at P12.0 billion, up 18% from P10.2 billion reported a year earlier.
