Globe Telecom is providing relief assistance to people affected by the ongoing explosion of Taal volcano even as it joined hands with ABS-CBN Foundation’s emergency humanitarian assistance program, Sagip Kapamilya, in reaching out to more communities.

Globe has initially sent food packs to the Luksuhin Evacuation Center in Alfonso, Cavite where 180 families or around 900 individuals are currently being housed. Relief assistance is also being readied for other affected areas.

At the same time, Globe, through Sagip Kapamilya, was able to help serve 546 families or 2,730 individuals with relief packs. The families have taken shelter in Barangay San Antonio in Sto. Tomas, Batangas and Barangays Banay Banay and Sto. Toribio in Lipa, Batangas.

Globe has, likewise, set up Libreng Tawag and Charging stations in Batangas and Cavite to assist the affected residents with their communication needs.
