Globe’s LTE Consistency Score™ in NCR Is at 81.30

Globe’s aggressive ramp-up of its network rollout in the National Capital Region has resulted in better call and data browsing services to customers.

Based on the latest data from Ookla®, Globe’s LTE Consistency Score™ for Metro Manila has reached 81.30 as of Q21 this year. It is also a significant improvement compared to the same period in 2020, where Globe posted only a 53.96 mark.  Since its sustained network upgrades and builds in Metro Manila, the technology company has been getting at least 80 mobile Consistency Score™ since April this year in Metro Manila.

“We aspire to bring the best service to our customers and give them an elevated mobile experience. Since last year, we have made significant strides to bring our Consistency Score™ to the level of other providers in the world. We encourage our customers to upgrade their 3G SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs and upgrade their devices to 4G LTE to further enjoy the benefits of our network upgrades,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President, and CEO.

Mobile Consistency Score™ measures the number of customer data transaction incidence (viewed as a percentage) of a provider's samples equal or exceeds both a download threshold of 5 Mbps and an upload threshold of 1 Mbps.

Globe’s target to build more new cell towers remains on track as it has installed 212 new cell sites in Metro Manila for 1H of 2021. The technology company has also completed 1,954 site upgrades all over the National Capital Region.

Globe strongly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9, which highlights the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development.
