Globe Shows Improved Mobile Internet in NCR using LTE 700 MHz Spectrum
To demonstrate an improved mobile internet connectivity in NCR, Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu did live speed tests at Jollibee - Mindanao Ave. in Quezon City, Ayala-MRT in Makati, and Puregold - Shaw Blvd. in Mandaluyong, showing speeds registering up to 80 Mbps during rush hour. At the recent 11th Wonderful World with Globe event held at the company's ICONIC store entertainment zone last September 16, 2016, Cu showcased proof of Globe’s effective efforts in network expansion as it continues to deploy LTE 700 MHz in more sites. The company is aggressively fast-tracking a multi-pronged network infrastructure and capacity expansion build to provide customers a better internet experience. Cu said the company’s deployment of LTE service using the 700 MHz frequency is now in full swing, adding that Globe expects to have more than 500 LTE 700 MHz sites across the country by the end of 2016.
