Over 90% of Globe Employees Fully-Vaccinated vs COVID-19

Over ninety percent of Globe’s over 8,000 strong workforce are now fully vaccinated through the combined efforts of the Ayala Group and support from various Local Government Units (LGU), with their dependents already receiving inoculations beginning August 2021.  This ensures the safety of the Globe family amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases caused by the virulent Delta variant. 

For the Globe Group of Companies, 82.30% of the workforce have already been vaccinated as of August 31. Affiliates and subsidiaries of Globe include Kickstart Ventures, Asticom Technology, Yondu, and 917Ventures which operates GCash, KonsultaMD, HealthNow, AdSpark, RUSH, and PureGo, among others.

“We’re doing our best to ensure that all our employees and their dependents are vaccinated at the earliest possible time.   We do not yet see the end of this pandemic.  It is critical for us to fully protect our workforce so we can serve our customers better,” said Renato Jiao, Globe Chief Human Resource Officer.

Globe started the mass inoculation as soon as the company-procured Moderna and AstraZeneca doses arrived as early as June 2021. The process is ably carried out through the HealthNow app, which houses COVIDShield, the COVID-19 vaccination program of the Ayala Group, which Globe is a part of.

Through HealthNow, the 500,000 employees and dependents of the Ayala Group and partners can register for COVIDShield, book their vaccinations at their preferred location and schedule, receive pre-vaccination health screening, and post-vaccination medical care.

The Globe vaccination program reinforces Globe’s support for the government’s intensified national vaccination rollout to reach herd immunity and help the country's economic recovery.
