Globe’s Asticom Group Launches New Engineering Services Firm to Help Telcos Accelerate Fiber Rollout

Asticom Technology Inc., a shared services company wholly owned by Globe, has launched a second subsidiary that aims to help telecommunications providers accelerate their fiber rollouts nationwide.

Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI) is the latest addition to the Asticom Group. The company operates with a license from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board and will provide end-to-end services and industry-specific solutions to telco companies, towers, and infrastructure and technology, including construction, building, installation, and maintenance services.

Marc Kerveillant, General Manager of FINSI, said: “We are on a mission to accelerate the Philippines into a connected nation, using innovative, leading-edge technologies and world-class local expertise.”

Local telcos are doubling up efforts to lay down fiber connectivity all around the country as demand for high-speed internet increases due to rapid digital adoption. Globe, for instance, has already deployed one million fiber to the homes this year ahead of schedule.

“In line with our mother company’s vision of creating a digital-first economy, we aim to help the country reach greater connectivity by being the first-ever homegrown engineering services provider that will support major telcos in the country in building their fiber infrastructure,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, President and CEO of Asticom Group.

Globe has pivoted its primary business to become a digital solutions group. It helps develop a robust digital ecosystem for Filipinos by building on its existing footprint in fintech, healthcare, entertainment, adtech, e-commerce, IT services, and venture capital.

Last January, Asticom also introduced Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI), as it aims to be the number one shared services provider in the Philippines and Asia. ABSI is a business process solutions company providing enterprises with Above and Beyond Service Innovation with end-to-end solutions for human resources, administrative, finance, and information technology functions.

Since its commercial launch, ABSI has been providing shared services to many industries, including telecommunications, financial technology, information technology, retail, health, logistics, automotive, banking, education, real estate, and aviation.

Asticom is one with the Globe Group in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9, which highlights the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe is committed to upholding the UN Global Compact principles and contributes to 10 UN SDGs.
