Globe, Affiliates Hold Meal-Packing Activity for Typhoon Tisoy Victims

Employees of Globe and its affiliates dedicated time and effort in creating 90  meal boxes for 2,880 families in Isabela and Albay who were affected by typhoon Tisoy which severely hit the country early this month.

Each meal box consisted of 36 meal packs that are enough to feed 180 people.  They will be distributed to 1,440 families or 7,200 individuals in Ilagan City, Isabela and 1,440 families or 7,200 individuals in Albay.  Recipients for the remaining meal box are still to be announced.

The activity, which coincided with the celebration of International Volunteer Day, was participated in by over 300 employee-volunteers from Globe, Kickstart, Global Telehealth, Asticom Technology, Yondu, and Mynt.

Rise Against Hunger produced healthy food packs for calamity response and facilitated the packing activity to enable large groups of volunteers to take part in relief operations.

Ka-Globe volunteers provide aid to families affected by Typhoon Tisoy.

"Globe has a very engaged employee workforce that is always ready to help communities in times of disaster. We are extremely grateful to our employees across the Globe Group for their generosity,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP for Corporate Communications.
