Globe Conducts Relief Ops in Northern Iloilo, Ilocos Norte

Globe has conducted relief operations in three towns of northern Iloilo, which were placed under the State of Calamity after prolonged bad weather disrupted the livelihood of fishermen in the coastal areas, resulting in food shortage which affected 18,000 families.
The company turned over 10 sacks of rice each to the municipalities of Carles, Estancia, and Concepcion to help a total of 15,034 families in 32 barangays.
The telecom firm, through ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya, also distributed meal packs containing five kilos of rice and five assorted can goods each to 486 families in Vintar, Ilocos Norte.
Globe, likewise, provided Libreng Tawag and Charging Services in Brgy. 35 Gabu Sur, Laoag City. The city was also placed under the State of Calamity due to heavy rains and massive flooding caused by severe Tropical Storm Ineng.
