Porting Guidelines and Processes

What is Mobile Number Portability (MNP)?

MNP is a FREE network service that allows customers to switch between network operators offering different plans and services—while retaining their current mobile number. This promotes consumer welfare by fostering the freedom to choose and to respond to quality, price, and other relevant considerations of the mass market.

Note that the customer type (consumer or business) is carried over when porting. This means that only business accounts from other networks can apply as a Globe Business account, and vice versa.

My business has multiple mobile plans. How many mobile numbers can I port?

There's no limit to the number of mobile lines you can port; however, it will be processed in batches of fifty.

What are the requirements?

Only the mobile number owners and authorized representatives/signatories of businesses may apply for porting by meeting these criteria:

Customer

  • Has a Non-Globe business grade mobile postpaid subscription
  • Has no outstanding balance or unpaid dues for the mobile plan
  • Has no fraudulent transactions
  • Has no pending transfer of ownership (TROW) request

Device

  • Is not locked in a contract (otherwise, subject to payment of pre-termination fee)

Number/Account

  • Is an active number
  • Has no porting prohibition from court of law
  • Is not a primary contact number (account with multiple subscriptions)
  • Is not part of bundled product (i.e. AMAX agent, DUO, SHP, etc.)

Please settle any financial obligation from the previous network within sixty days after the release of the final bill. Failure to do so will result in an auto-termination of the ported number.

How can I request for mobile number porting?

Moving to Globe Business is easy. Simply follow the steps below:

Step 1: Request for your Unique Subscriber Code (USC) from your existing network provider.

Step 2: Inquire here.

Step 3: Expect a Globe Business representative to reach you within 24 hours.

Step 4: Provide an ID and your non-Globe Business postpaid mobile bill.

Step 5: Get approved as fast as 24 hours.

Step 6: Enjoy the benefits of being a Globe Business postpaid subscriber while keeping your existing number.

You may also contact us via our 121 hotline (available only through a mobile phone call from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or reach out to your Business Account Manager to facilitate the porting request.
