How do I use the service once I subscribe?
Once you're informed via SMS regarding the activation of your subscription, you may immediately use the service by (1) calling the KonsultaMD hotline 24/7 at 79880 (Globe/TM mobile) or (02) 7798-8000 (landline and other mobile networks) or (2) by downloading the mobile app.
How many times can I consult in a week or a month? Is this unlimited consultations?
Customers that are using their registered Globe numbers can call the KonsultaMD hotline as many times as they want and there is a no limit to the number of consultations within the period of their subcription.Customers calling using non-Globe or TM registered numbers can also consult without limit, however, they will be charged with the applicable call rates on top of their subscription fee.For all customers (Globe, and non-Globe/TM) accessing video consultation hotline and specialist services, these are charged on top of the subscription fee:
- Php 15 per video consultation hotline
- Variable doctor consultation fees apply depending on the chosen specialist
What kind of information can I receive from KonsultaMD?
1.) Telephone triage (determining the urgency of your situation, i.e., whether it is an emergency or non-emergency)
2.) Medical information for primary conditions (defined as cough, fever, cold, flu, pink eye/sore eyes, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, bronchitis, rashes, allergies, asthma), maternity, pediatrics, and other conditions
3.) First aid advice
4.) Reading of, and information on, lab and diagnostic results
Can I request a medical certificate / prescription after my consultation?
Yes, but issuance of a medical certificate will be at the discretion of the doctor.
Doctors may also issue e-prescriptions, e-lab requests, and e-referrals.Does KonsultaMD have an age limit?
There is no age limit but if a minor calls the hotline, the doctor will look for an adult to talk to. If no adult is available, the minor will be asked to call back with adult supervision.
