Hallasgo Wins Gold in Debut

As featured in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Bukidnon-native Christine Hallasgo beat out her fellow marathon runners—including the 2017 SEA Games gold medalist Mary Joy Tabal—and earned herself and the Philippines a gold medal. Hallasgo's training before the 2019 SEA Games definitely proved useful with this win.

Filipinos Support and Cheer for Timor Leste

While our very own athletes were bagging medals left and right, many Filipinos voiced their support for Timor Leste—one of the countries also participating in the SEA Games, which had yet to bag a win during that time. This once again proved the warmth and welcoming personality of the people in the Philippines.
