4 Predictions for Legends of Tomorrow Season Two
We are bound to see more supers onscreen
Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 had viewers jumping with excitement. Get a few heroes from The CW’s Arrow universe with some additions and you have a small-scale Justice League. The first season brought viewers to the ’50s and ’80s to the future and back to the past as our superheroes chased the supervillain through time.
With Vandal Savage defeated, Rip Hunter and his team of Legends—Atom, White Canary, Firestorm, Hawkgirl, Heat Wave and Captain Cold—return for another season. This time, they’re blasting off into parts unknown. Since Season 1 ended with a cliff-hanger, we look forward to the next season with some predictions.
1. The Justice Society of America
Season 1 ended with the introduction of Hourman, a member of the Justice Society of America. Many viewers now ask, “Who is Hourman and what is the Justice Society of America?” Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow will have a lot of explaining to do, but what we know so far is that the Justice Society of America is the precursor of the Justice League of America. This can only mean that another superhero group will be joining Rip Hunter’s motley crew for bigger adventures.
2. New Heroes
With Vandal Savage gone, Hawkman and Hawkgirl finally get a chance to settle down. The introduction of Hourman and his affiliation with the Justice Society of America can only mean one thing: more heroes! Expect Hourman to join the roster of heroes and classic DC superheroes like Booster Gold, Power Girl and maybe an alternate universe version of The Flash.
3. Earth – 2
After traveling through time and sometimes messing up the space-time continuum, the Legends have no other place to go but different Earths and universes. The Flash introduced viewers to Earth-2, an alternate universe where heroes are villains and vice-versa. Legends of Tomorrow might just explore some more of this world. It’ll be fun seeing Atom and Heat Wave blast their way around Earth-2.
4. More Arrowverse Crossovers
Greg Berlanti’s Arrowverse just got bigger with the addition of Supergirl. Expect to see more characters from Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl joining the adventures of the Legends for an episode or two. Last season saw a one-armed Oliver Queen. Maybe this season we’ll get to see more of the Flash and probably a future version of Supergirl. The possibilities are endless and even bigger this time ‘round.
