6 Albums We Can’t Wait to Stream: November 2021

We’re down to the last two months in 2021 (and can’t believe it happened just like that). It’s obvious that there’s no slowing down some of our favorite artists, who clearly intend on capping off the year with a bang. October got the ball rolling when we got to tune into brand-new Coldplay, Blue Banisters by Lana Del Rey and PARADISE RISING’s semilucent 2 (just to name a couple of highlights). 

November, for sure, is just as exciting. From Taylor Swift to Adele: Ahead, we round up the six albums coming out this month worthy of pre-saving and waiting out for.

"Valentine" by Snail Mail

The first week of November kicks off with American indie rock act Snail Mail, fronted by Lindsey Jordan, due to release their sophomore studio album and follow-up to Lush from 2018.

Valentine is a take on heartbreak and the frontwoman’s journey to finding herself again. Following her three-year tour for Lush, Jordan felt she hit a wall and is candid in interviews about checking into rehab. “I was really isolated,” she tells Rolling Stone. “I was watching everyone around me put things out so much faster, and I was getting scared. A lot of the stuff that I needed to talk through, nobody could help me with.”

Valentine hits streaming platforms on November 5.

"STILL OVER IT" by Summer Walker

Summer Walker offered up bop after bop when she released her debut studio album Over It in 2019. She returns on November 5 with more. Her second full-length album, Still Over It, is Walker fully coming into her own, with NME revealing after an early preview: “Throughout the five tracks, Walker’s lyrics never feel anthemic. Rather, they are personal, almost as if she’s right there with you. Her words are a balm: comforting advice of an old friend through a Zoom call.”

"Absolutely" by Dijon

American R&B and Soul artist on the rise Dijon is marking a milestone. After releasing smaller projects and his EP How Do You Feel About Getting Married? in 2020, the singer-songwriter is finally releasing his first full-length album, Absolutely. Leaning into experimenting with genres, the thing that made him popular among listeners in the first place, Absolutely is still poised to be unforgettable and balanced. 

“I think this is the first time you can hear me trying to make music for everybody without it being a concession,” he tells NME. “I think it’s actually probably the hardest, most demanding music I’ve ever made–but it feels like there’s a person behind it, as opposed to many layers of fuzz. You can determine where that person slots in your world—or if they do at all.”

Absolutely hits all major streaming platforms on November 5.

"Red (Taylor’s Version)" by Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift continues her re-recorded release spree; this time, reintroducing Red (Taylor’s version, that is). As a follow-up to Fearless (Taylor’s Version), the first (of six) re-recorded albums, this release is set to feature 30 songs with nine bonus tracks and collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, Ed Sheeran and Chris Stapleton.

Red (Taylor’s Version) drops on November 12.

"Between Us" by Little Mix

It’s another milestone for the top-selling British girl group Little Mix. In a statement posted to their official website, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall share: “In celebration of #10YearsOfLittleMix, we are so excited to announce our brand-new album Between Us will be released on November 12th.” The announcement was shortly followed by the release of the tracklist, which also features their greatest hits.

"30" by Adele

Easy On Me singer and queen of ballads Adele is back and ready now to offer a new, full serving.

Her upcoming fourth studio album, 30, is the unlocking of a new chapter, mirroring the English singer’s experiences during her hiatus from music: her divorce, growing up under the spotlight, becoming a mother and more.

30, Adele’s hotly-anticipated 12-track album, hits streaming services on November 19.
