Kicking off the month, Joji released his new, heart-wrenching R&B album SMITHEREENS—a perfect way to keep the momentum going by following up his hit track “Glimpse of Us.” P-Pop boyband BGYO, too, dropped their second studio album BE:US with the title track “Magnet” and follow-up single “PNGNP.”

Bittersweet by Jess Connelly
After teasing us with sultry releases over the past few months (years even!), Filipina R&B singer-songwriter Jess Connelly is finally treating us with a full studio album. Bittersweet is an 11-track album featuring her hit singles “Chatter,” “Better,” and “Over You.” Get yourself in the mood with Jess’s soft tracks starting with “2 AM” below.

Faith in the Future by Louis Tomlinson
Oh, to be a Directioner in 2022! Louis Tomlinson is finally introducing his second full album Faith in the Future two years after his debut album Walls from 2020. The English singer-songwriter has already teased his album with two pre-release pop-rock tracks “Bigger Than Me” and “Out of My System.” Why not count down to album release day and watch the official music video for “Out of My System” below?

houseplants by Cheats
Pinoy indie band Cheats is making their triumphant return with another smash album, houseplants. This new album packs a punch with 12 new songs—including the well-loved pre-releases “Hakbang,” “Honey Calm Down,” and “Kapit.” Cheats is also bringing in storied folk singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao for the track “Morning After,” while one of the tracks, “Hakbang” gets a special anniversary treat with an alternate cut music video. Y5 by Yuna
Yuna is finally culminating her five-part single release spree with Y5. The aptly named album is the fifth international studio album of the celebrated Malaysian singer. The project began as early as March this year with Y1, followed by the remainder of the single albums. Y5 consists of all 13 songs she’s released over the past year. Need a refresher? 2011 by Tokio Hotel
Finally, Tokio Hotel is releasing a full-length album five years since they dropped Dream Machine in 2017. The album title is a tribute to the formation of the band back in 2001 and is a celebration of the German band’s roots. The 16-track album includes previously released songs “Durch den Monsun 2020” and “Happy People.” Watch the official lyric video for the latter below.

Lowlife Princess: Noir by BIBI
At long last, Korean R&B singer-songwriter BIBI is releasing a full-length album called Lowlife Princess: Noir. With 12 new songs, we can’t help but be excited about the new era she’s ushering in along with her debut album. According to the singer, her project’s narrative takes inspiration from the masterpiece movie Lady Vengeance by director Park Chan Wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden). Like a bomb on Reveluvs, Red Velvet just announced their long-awaited comeback. The new album entitled The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday displays a stark difference from their last comeback with “Feel My Rhythm,” an ode to classical music and modern K-Pop beats.
