The daughters of Maleficent and Ursula in one team? Yes please

When we were kids, Maleficent, Ursula, Jafar and the rest of the Disney villains pretty much scared us to the bone. But we’ve grown thicker skin since then and have learned to appreciate their evil genius-ness, too. So when the beloved entertainment company decided to release the second generation of some of their most iconic anti-heroes in Descendants, we were all in.

Mal, daughter of Maleficent 

In the original Descendants movie, we met Mal. She started off as the most sinister and human-loathing of them all, with no regard for anything or anyone as long as she was able to do what her dear old mother asked for. But, like with most Disney movies, our villainess eventually has a change of heart.

Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen

You might remember the Evil Queen as the Old Hag from Snow White, but even we have to admit she was quite a looker at the beginning of the classic movie. It’s mostly her vanity that she passed along to Evie, as well as her desire to stay queen.

Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil

You’d think that the lavishness and ambition of Cruella de Vil would have rubbed off on her son, but these must have been recessive traits. Carlos is actually kind of humble and has an ironic fear of dogs.

Jay, son of Jafar

Jafar had magic and Iago at his side, but Jay only has his physical attributes to rely on. He’s a little on the egotistical side and is also kind of a kleptomaniac.

By the end of Descendants, Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay all had a change of heart. It looked like they were all going to live happily ever after away from their parents’ evil shadows. But we’ve got our eyes on a new set of young villains in Descendants 2 that are bound to stir up some trouble.

Harry Hook, Uma and Gil

Uma, daughter of Ursula

Taking over the role of Mal is Uma, the daughter of our favorite sea witch. With a little bitterness in her heart and Ursula’s Magic Seashell in her hand, we just know Uma is going to make a splash – pun intended.

Gil, son of Gaston// Harry, son of Captain Hook

There isn’t much that we know about Gil and Harry Hook at this point, but we do know that both boys will be following behind Uma really closely. And with fathers like Gaston and Captain Hook, how could we expect anything else except maliciousness sprinkled with a bit of comedy?
