As a country that enjoys gaming, here’s something Pinoys can look forward to in October: gamers are in for a major treat as the International 11 (or TI11) is set to take place in Singapore this year, making its first-ever stop in the region.
This is set to bring together Southeast Asia’s diverse gaming community, where streamers and players alike are expected, and all-time favorite games like Dota 2 are spotlighted.
As one of the year’s biggest, most in-demand gaming events, TI11 tickets sold out in a matter of minutes last month. Passes to the event are no long available, unfortunately, but if you are one of the lucky few, are planning to attend the highly-anticipated eSport event, and have your tickets ready, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the festivities:

Singapore Travel Requirements
Singapore is one of the many visa-free countries Filipino can visit. But while travel restrictions to the country have eased, it’s important to remember that COVID-19 is still an ever-present threat. Fully vaccinated or not, the country has made a list of requirements that visitors need to submit.
Here are the primary documents you need to secure ahead of time:
Vaccination certificate
SG arrival card
Health declaration
Entry permission (for non-vaccinated travelers)
Fully vaccinated visitors must upload their vaccination certificates via the Vaccination Check Portal. Three days prior to arrival, visitors will also need to submit an SG arrival card and e-health declaration through the official e-service on the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website (ICA).
While non-fully vaccinated visitors are generally not granted entry to Singapore, they can still go, provided they obtain entry permission and submit this via the ICA website. A PCR or Antigen test is also required two days before departing.

Quick Travel Tips
The main event is obviously TI11, but why not make the most out of your time in Singapore? Here are some useful tips to help you maximize your trip.
Look for hawker centers near you
Be it Hainanese Chicken Rice or Chili Crab, eating through Singapore is one of the best ways to enjoy here.
Use public transportation
Singapore’s public transportation system is one of the most efficient in the world. MRTs are fast, widely available, and can get you to any desired location. Getting a Singapore Tourist Pass can also help you save money, allowing unlimited travel depending on its validity.
Pack appropriate clothing
Singapore experiences more or less the same weather as the Philippines. Temperamental weather conditions can range from heavy rains to scorching hot periods, so be thoughtful when it comes to the clothing you pack.
