Ed Sheeran’s Divide Is Making 2017 Better

The year is off to a pretty good start, musically

Ed Sheeran’s third studio album, ÷ (a.k.a Divide), is starting off 2017 on a high note. Though the album itself has not been released, there has been a lot of hype over a handful of its songs and if you’ve heard them, you know the hype is real.

When the music first hit the airwaves, several fans took to Twitter to share their appreciation of Castle On A Hilland Shape Of You. Many even argued that these two songs alone should get Ed a Grammy.

And Ed, being Ed, took to his own Twitter account to share his gratitude.

Shape Of You

Girl, you know I want your love

Your love was handmade for somebody like me

I’m in love with the shape of you

We push and pull like a magnet do

Although my heart is falling too

I’m in love with your body

Bonus points for proving that a song can be about a woman’s body without being offensive.

And if you still don’t believe us—because why would you? Music is relative—head over to Spotify to listen to these masterpieces yourself. We guarantee you’ll be listening to them on loop.
