Through The Years: The Foo Fighters & 5 Of Their Greatest Hits
And everything we can expect from their upcoming album
There are very few bands out there that became iconic, stayed iconic and are still somehow slaying it in the music scene. One of those very choice groups are the Foo Fighters and we honestly have no qualms about this. The group has come out with some of the most epic melodies, sing-your-heart-out lyrics and I-need-to-be-there concerts.
Best Of You
Probably the band’s most popular song, Best Of You is iconic in itself.
Are you gone and onto someone knew?
I need somewhere to hang my head
Without your noose
You gave something that I didn’t have
But had no use

Monkey Wrench
It’s all about moving up and out—no matter what you need to leave behind.
Don’t wanna be your monkey wrench
One more indecent accident
I’d rather leave than suffer this
I’ll never be your monkey wrench
The Pretender
Four words: That introduction, that buildup.
Keep you in the dark
You know they all pretend
Keep you in the dark
And so it all began

Times Like These
Because we have all asked ourselves that question that the song is all about –
I am a little divided
Do I stay or run away
And leave it all behind?
Everlong
The term “greatest” might be relative, but Everlong seems to be a fan favorite across the board. And why not? With the haunting melody and catchy lyrics, it’s basically synonymous to 90s rock and roll.
And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
In a few days—September 15 as press time—Foo Fighters is releasing Concrete and Gold, the newest album of their already-stellar library. Frontman Dave Grohl has been working with names across the industry over the years and is bringing his experiences to the plate on this one. Expect to hear tracks with Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman, Paul McCartney and even Justin Timberlake.
The album, which is 11 tracks long, discusses politics but is mostly centered on the album title. The hook of the title track goes, I have an engine made of gold, something so beautiful. The world will never know. Our roots are stronger than you know, up through the concrete we will grow.
It’s been more than two decades since the world was first introduced to the Foo Fighters and there is so much more to look forward to. We can’t wait to see what the next ten years will be like.
