The Friends Reunion Airs This Month! Here’s What You Need to Know
Catch The One Where They Get Back Together beginning May 27 on HBO Max
The one that FRIENDS fans have long been waiting for is almost here. Seventeen years after the series finale and with reunion rumors and false alarms shot down countless times in between, the cast of FRIENDS is getting back together.
First announced in February 2020, HBO Max made it official that Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler) and David Schwimmer (Ross) would be reuniting for a special feature the same day that the new streaming platform launches online: May 27, 2021.
For FREINDS: The Reunion, the beloved six friends head back to the original soundstage at Warner Bros. Studio for an unscripted trip down memory lane, which features recreated sets (Monica and Joey’s apartments), a sit-down interview with James Corden and special guest appearances, among other exclusives. Supporting cast members of FRIENDS, of course, get special mention. Christina Pickles (Judy Geller), Elliott Gould (Jack Geller), Tom Selleck (Richard Burke), James Michael Tyler (Gunther) and Maggie Wheeler (Janice) are slated to make an appearance.
It’s a reunion behind the scenes, too. The Late Late Show writer Ben Winston is joined by Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane for the epic special, an episode that all six main cast members are set to executive produce as well.
