Songs We're Excited to Hear At the Glastonbury Festival Live at Worthy Farm
A Glastonbury Festival 2021 Dream Setlist
The longing for live events has hit us stronger than ever, especially nowadays when we see our favorite acts from the US and the UK announce their tour dates. Their sides of the world are slowly letting up, inching their way back to life before the pandemic—with the addition of health precautions. Responding to tour updates outside of our reach with “Want that for me!” is probably a reflex at this point.
But while the times are still uncertain, mainstays of the live music scene still look for ways to keep that spirit alive. NPR Music moved their Tiny Desk Concert series to Tiny Desk (Home) Concerts, and K-pop acts started holding online concerts to stay connected with their fans over the pandemic. This time, one of the biggest and most anticipated music festivals does the same by holding a live stream event: Glastonbury Festival Live at Worthy Farm. After two cancellations, Glastonbury Festival 2021 is finally a go. The stream will start on May 22nd, 7:00 PM British Summer Time (that's May 23rd, 5:00 PM Philippine Standard Time) and will span for about five hours.
The event lets regular festival-goers and fans from all over the world enjoy their exciting lineup from the comfort of their homes. Audiences from the Philippines don’t need to fly out or use a VPN connection to see their favorite artists perform on the Pyramid Stage because tickets are available on UPSTREAM.ph. So while we’re waiting for May 23rd to roll in, we’re building our dream setlist with the songs we want to hear.

Wolf Alice
This dream-pop band is set heading back to slay on one of Glastonbury’s stages after their last appearance five years ago. Their 2020 releases, such as The Last Man On Earth, are def appearing in their setlist. We’re also wishing that our hunches are right and that they’ll be playing Don’t Delete The Kisses and Bros live this time around.
Jorja Smith
Another major act slated to perform is the hypnotizing Jorja Smith. She recently released another EP called Be Right Back, following up her few singles. Wishful thinking has us hoping for a setlist that includes Time and possibly a stripped-down version of her London grime song Come Over.
IDLES
British punk rock band IDLES are also part of the festival’s major acts. We know our hits are old but there’s nothing wrong with manifesting updated live performances of Never Fight A Man With A Perm and Mother. Glastonbury Festival 2021 viewers will have to move their furniture and mosh at home, though. At least it completes the music festival experience while keeping a safe distance.
HAIM
It’s no brainer that they’ll be filling their setlists with songs from Women In Music Pt. III. The Steps might be a staple but we’re also hoping that they bring classics back such as Little Of Your Love. We’re also pushing our luck by hoping for a guest appearance by the fourth HAIM sister, Taylor Swift, for a performance of Gasoline. They were already together during the recent BRIT Awards held in the UK after all.
Coldplay
The band of our childhoods, teens and beyond are the headliners for Glastonbury Festival 2021 Live at Worthy Farm. While we’re still not sure when their newest record is dropping, we might be seeing their most recent single Higher Power as part of the songs they’ll perform. Nonetheless, we’d want to see older songs such as Orphans and Paradise on May 23rd for some bout of nostalgia.

This is just scratching the surface of an awesome setlist ahead. British rapper Kano, singer Michael Kiwanuka and Damon Albarn (the brain behind The Gorillaz) are also slated to perform throughout that seven-hour stream. Special appearances by George Ezra and Roisin Murphy are also highly anticipated.
But most of all, an unnamed special guest will be having a 30-minute set near the tail end of the night. This secret is keeping everyone on their toes as fans are guessing it’s either Taylor Swift or Paul McCartney, the headliners of the canceled lineup from 2020. The possibilities are endless and we can’t wait for Glastonbury Festival 2021!
Glastonbury Festival Live at Worthy Farm will start on May 23rd, 5:00 PM Philippine Standard Time. Ticket holders may rewatch and rewind to their favorite parts up to May 24th at 12:00 AM, five hours after the show ends. Reserve your tickets now on UPSTREAM.ph for PHP 1,535.00.
