Let’s Hit Rewind: Highlights From BLACKPINK’s THE SHOW

We’re revisiting our favorite parts of the January 31 livestream concert

The pandemic may have knocked several highly-anticipated events off course, but we’ve seen K-pop sensation BLACKPINK prove one thing: plan B can still be a roaring success. While unable to go on tour to promote their debut studio album, Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo still found ways to expand their horizons. Along with announcing their partnership with Globe, the girls kicked off 2021 with their first-ever global livestream event. BLACKPINK’s THE SHOW was an arena-style concert experience of epic proportions.

There was something to love in each segment that went on. The sets were a full-blown production; the fashion and outfit changes, a moment of their own.

Those tuned in to the January 31 livestream and February 7 & 14 rebroadcasts were able to enjoy several firsts, too: Jennie’s Solo featuring a new rap verse, Rosé’s solo debut, new never-before-seen choreography for Ddu-Du Ddu-Du and the girls bringing a piece of the BLINKs with them onstage when they featured fans messages and artwork while performing Forever Young. Other highlights from THE SHOW include Blackpink’s first live performance of Sour Candy, Lisa’s cover of Doja Cat’s Say So and Jisoo’s rendition of Tove Lo’s Habits (Stay High).

These are just some of the moments we wish we could experience all over again. Until BLACKPINK and YG Entertainment announce a part two (or perhaps bring the virtual concert to streaming), we’ll be here hanging on to these moments, captured in photos, from THE SHOW.

There’s a whole world of K-pop you can binge-watch on YouTube—and you can explore it all with Globe Postpaid.
