All the Exciting Things Lined up at It's a Girl Thing Year 2

All roads lead to Vertis Tent on Saturday, ladies!

Long months of waiting have led to this weekend. In just a few more days, It’s A Girl Thing makes its highly-anticipated return as it brings together international and local girl bosses to inspire, educate and empower teenage girls. That’s right, ladies: the largest girl power celebration of the year is back.

Brought to audiences by Globe Live and Branded (the co-producers of YouTube FanFest), It’s a Girl Thing Manila 2018 promises an even more jam-packed Saturday of fun, entertainment and empowerment. “We're giving teens the opportunity to embark on a journey of self-discovery in search of their dreams and to truly understand themselves with their favourite social stars. It will definitely be fun and educational at the same time,” shared Branded CEO Jasper Donat. This not only is the country’s only female-led festival, but a love letter to the next generation of Filipino women (it goes without saying that those lucky enough to have secured tickets to the now sold-out event are in for a treat).

The IAGT stage is set. 13 of today’s brightest, most inspiring digital content creators are ready. What else is in store at It’s A Girl Thing Manila Year 2? Here’s your official primer:

#1: Dove joins the IAGT roster.

On its sophomore year, It’s A Girl Thing Manila is collaborating with body-positive beauty brand Dove. For young girls, this means lessons on breaking the beauty mold and being a part of the empowering dialogue on diverse beauty.

#2: Local movers and shakers Reneé Dominique, Dani Barretto and Eunice Jorge share a platform together for the first time.

This makes the first of many talks in the IAGT Manila Year 2 lineup!

#3: Attendees get to witness a live performance by international singer and YouTube sensation Liane V.

Apart from participating in a bonus one-on-one, the California native will also be gracing the IAGT stage along with multi-talented artist and life advocate Solenn Heussaff, and actress and performing arts creative coach Anne Gauthier for a panel discussion.

#4: International dancer, host and content creator Megan Batoon holds her own one-on-one session with members of the audience.

Her Filipino fans will be given the opportunity to send in their questions for the exclusive Q&A where the sky’s the limit!

#5: AC Bonifacio, ANDREAH, Hannah Pangilinan and Gracenote are slated to get the evening going with their own live performances.

These promising, multi-talented rising stars are definitely the ones to watch this year and the new faces of girl power to keep an eye out for.

#6: Janina Vela and Meredith Foster together in one talk? Yup, this is happening, too!

Eventgoers get to witness the live version of what the two ladies are known for on YouTube: real talk, unfiltered conversation and tackling of issues relevant to young girls today.

#7: Asia Jackson

IAGT Manila 2018 is a milestone for Filipino-African American Asia Jackson, the last of the international guests. It’s both her homecoming and her first time to meet fans based in the Philippines. As a vocal, staunch advocate for diversity in the beauty industry, Jackson’s one-on-one session is an exciting one to watch out for.

With giveaways, surprises and interactive booths in between, this year’s run of It’s A Girl Thing is one for the books. As for ladies who won’t be able to join in on the fun at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent, some great news for you: It’s A Girl Thing now comes with its own web series called, “It’s A Girl Thing On Demand,” streaming soon!
