In a nutshell: Encounter tells the story of two individuals from opposite walks of life. There’s Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo), a politician’s daughter whose unhappy marriage resulted in an eventual divorce. And then there’s Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum), the very definition of an ordinary man. Working part-time jobs in the absence of a full-time gig, he finds happiness in the mundane. Soo Hyun and Jin Hyuk, two seemingly polar opposites, meet on a trip abroad and the rest is history—but you’d be mistaken to write this off as just another cliché love story.
Watch this if: You’ve got a soft spot for heart-wrenching romances.

Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter
Starring: Moon Chae Won, Yoon Hyun Min, Seo Ji Hoon, Kang Mi Na
In a nutshell: Sun Ok Nam, a fairy, came down to Earth to bathe in a waterfall—only to have her fairy dress stolen and her entrance to heaven revoked. She marries the man who stole her clothing, only to lose him to an unfortunate fall off a cliff after building a life together. Deciding to wait for her husband to reincarnate, Ok Nam takes on the role of a barista at a cafe on Gyeryong Mountain. 699 years down the line, she finally meets two men who she believes could be the reincarnation of the man she loves. On a quest to find out which one he is, she leaves her post at the humble coffee shop and follows them to the bustling city of Seoul.

An Empress’s Dignity
Starring: Choi Jin Hyuk, Jang Nara & Shin Sung Rok
In a nutshell: From a nameless musical understudy to the emperor’s wife: at first glance, it may seem like Oh Sunny’s (Jang Nara) life is too good to be true. We soon discover, however, that this Cinderella story may be more than she bargained for. Set in an alternate universe, An Empress’s Dignity reimagines mordern-day Korea as a constitutional monarchy. When Oh Sunny suddenly marries into the imperial family, she finds herself in the thick of mystery and corrupt power play following the death of the dowager empress. Despite the murky waters, she finds herself falling for the charms of Na Wang Sik, the imperial bodyguard who appears to have a few secrets of his own.

Starring: Kim Yoo Jung, Yoon Kyun Sang, Song Jae Rim
In a nutshell: We’ve seen many of stories about opposites falling in love, but not quite like this. Jang Sun Gyul (Yoon Kyun Sang) is an absolute germophobe who, quite aptly, owns a cleaning company. As fate would have it, he meets Gil Oh Sol (Kim Yoo Jung). Bright, bubbly and absolutely game to get down and dirty––she proves to be Sun Gyul’s total opposite. Clean With Passion For Now tells the story of these two’s unlikely tumble into love.
