Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Takes Us Back To Simpler Times & We Love It
When all we had were a few buttons and an infinite number of possibilities.
The landscape of gaming has changed significantly in the last three decades. In terms of graphics, game play, character development and storyline, the improvements have come on quickly and impressively. But there is a certain charm that comes from simply – or viciously – pressing a few buttons and having a character come to life on screen.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
While it is the sixth main entry to the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, Infinite still sticks true to its world’s premise. Players control characters of their choosing to compete in tag battles via two-on-two battles. The setup allows gamers to switch from one character to another in order to form continuous combos. One notable addition to its predecessors is the use of Infinity Stones, which temporarily give players unique abilities that depend on the stone that is used.
Don’t worry, you’ll still get your story
For those that have fallen in love with game stories, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has not forgotten you. For the first time, the game has a cinematic story mode, of which the plot follows the heroes of both the Marvel and Capcom universes. Together, our heroes need to work together to save their world against Ultron Sigma.

But what we’re really in love with is its simplicity
The latest addition to the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise is a beautiful game that merges two of the most recognized and beloved franchises. And while the new features are great, what we’ll never get tired off is bringing heroes to life in magnificent fashion just by pressing a few buttons.
The possibilities in Infinite are virtually endless – even for those of us that do not possess the skill of timing. Smashing down on the attack buttons offer a thrill unlike anything else, especially when the random combination results in a stylish (and obviously accidental) finish. It takes us back to the time when gaming was first spreading its wings and none of us knew what we were doing.
At the same time, it offers the complexity that more veteran players will definitely look for. You can have Ryu perform a multi-hit attack and tag out Captain America while in mid-animation. So while Ryu finishes his attack, the First Avenger is already in control and can begin on his own set of punches and kicks. And with a 30-character roster upon release, the partnerships and combinations are infinite – pun intended.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
