Mikael Daez is no stranger to the cameras. He has appeared on several television shows and he has even starred opposite some of the biggest names in showbiz. And while the public will know him for his acting, hosting and modeling stints, we think the man beyond the camera is much more interesting.
A graduate of Ateneo de Manila with a degree in management, Mikael believed that his professional life would begin and end with banking. “I thought I would be a different person,” he told Rappler when his career was just beginning to take off. But as luck would have it, the flashing lights were calling to him. He’s now currently starring in GMA’s Legally Blind, alongside Janine Gutierrez and Lauren Young.
His interests, of course, span more than commercials and teleserye roles. He has a YouTube channel where he shares his tips on where to eat, go on an adventure and generally live life to its limit. He challenges his viewers to be spontaneous and just go with the flow and to travel with no itinerary.
And speaking of adventures, Mikael loves to travel. His Instagram account is filled to the brim with mountain peaks, stunning landscapes and photos with his real-life girlfriend, Megan Young.
It was just recently confirmed that Mikael and Miss World 2013 have been an item for several years now. Now that the relationship is finally out in the open, Young told GMA that the two are “more at ease.” However, she also made it clear that the will still keep some aspects of their lives private.
