5 Movies We Can’t Wait to See in May 2019
From Sharon Cuneta’s first horror movie role to Ryan Reynolds as the most famous Pokémon
Think entertainment post-Avengers: Endgame is doomed to come to a standstill? Well, think again. Hot off the heels of the billion-dollar MCU hit, we’ve already got our eye on some standout summer movies. A light comedy, something kid-friendly and the Filipino-made movie to see this season: the strengths of May’s movie lineup lie in its variety but offer up something more.
There’s the return of Academy Award winner Charlize Theron in an unlikely rom com pairing with comedian Seth Rogen. Then there’s Aladdin, the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the Disney classic. Back home, horror fanatics have Kuwaresma to look forward to as well, an Erik Matti (BuyBust, On the Job and Honor Thy Father) directed masterpiece touted as his scariest film yet.
All these and more are just about to get into full swing. And with a major premiere happening each week, expect an action and excitement-packed May. Here, our top movie picks for the month ahead and five reasons to head back to the cinemas.
Long Shot

The two, after reuniting, decide to work together: a goofy, newly-minted speech writer for potentially one of the most powerful women in the country.
