Here are the new dates for 2020’s most anticipated movies

To anyone that’s used to seeing new film titles appear around malls every other Wednesday, the closing of movie theaters is a big blow to experience. After all, the 2020 lineup of films was something to look forward to at the start of the year.

But with the world on lockdown and the malls and cinemas closed, when can we expect to see the year’s most anticipated films?

A Quiet Place Part II

The sequel to one of 2018’s most loved films from John Krasinski was originally slated for a March 8 release. A Quiet Place Part II, which will still star Emily Blunt, is now scheduled for release on September 4, 2020.

Black Widow

What will still be Marvel’s first female-led film has been moved from its original release date of May 11 to November 6, 2020. We don’t know about you, but the delay has not stiffened our excitement to see learn about the Natasha Romanoff.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

The next chapter of this beloved franchise, which stars Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard and Paul Rudd, has been moved from July 10 to March 5, 2021.

Mulan

While the decisions that were made to make Mulan a reality were a little controversial, we’re willing to bet it will still be a Box Office hit—when it releases in July 2020.

Top Gun: Maverick

Tom Cruise is back and teaching a younger generation how to dance in the skies in Top Gun: Maverick. And while it has already been a while since the franchise got an upgrade, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer as the film is now set to premiere in December.

Wonder Woman 1984

The female-led superhero films are getting better and better and Wonder Woman 1984 is definitely a title that we were all looking forward to—especially since the first film starring Gal Gadot was such a success. The film is now slated for an August 14, 2020 release.

There are, of course, more films that have been moved around and with our collective lockdowns still up in the air, all the dates mentioned above are still subject to change. But while we wait, how about some streaming options?
