Spotted: The Best Music Festival Style at Wanderland 2018
Now that is one good-looking, well put together crowd
On March 10, Saturday, all roads led to Filinvest Open Grounds in Alabang for Wanderland 2018. Now on its sixth year, the highly anticipated first-of-summer festival kicked off “Wanderland Pixels” with even bigger live acts and awe-inspiring live art.
Crowds gathered to catch local favorites, old and new, like Jess Connelly, IV of Spades, Basically Saturday Night and Casual Casualties. Kodaline, Jhené Aiko, FKJ, Daniel Caesar, LAUV and Bag Raiders completed the stellar international lineup.
And it wouldn’t be a music and arts festival without, well, art: This year, WanderArtists and winners at the Wander Battle event last November—Sam Bumanlag, JP Pining, Cholo Cardenas and Humbly—were in charge of creating art on the spot to go hand-in-hand with the live entertainment. There were also interactive booths and tons of other forms of amusement to keep the wanderlust alive. Festival-goers helped themselves to exclusive merchandise at the Art Market, the Arcade and the Crimson Hotel Lounge, good eats at Food Bytes and collaborative stalls like the F21 Pixel Playhouse and Hope Up-Cycling Booth.
The annual Wanderland wrap-up wouldn’t be complete, of course, without a shout-out to the #WanderlandCommunity, the festival crowd you certainly won’t find anywhere else. They’ve got the energy, the moves and the lung capacity to sing all day and night. And oh, they’ve got festival style down-pat. Get ready to take style pointers for all other music festivals you’re attending this year!
