Up ahead, we break down all the movies and series you ought to add to your to-watch list this month.

The Haunting of Hill House

Starring Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton

Minted by Netflix enthusiasts as the next big horror series after Stranger ThingsThe Haunting of Hill House is terrifying and full of dread in the best of ways. Inspired by the 1959 gothic novel of the same name, the series follows the Crain siblings, the previous residents of Hill House. Driven to move away by a terrifying incident, they each face their own demons and confront haunting memories of Hill House until their youngest sister’s death brings them back together. Stream The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix starting October 12.

Haunted

People say houses are haunted, not people. But that’s not entirely true.” Haunted anchors itself on real people, sharing real stories of their first-hand experiences with the occult and unusual. Imagine bloody handprints on walls, haunting whispers, possessions, and all the makings of your classic horror films. Except this time, it’s real. Stream the first season of Haunted starting October 19.

Riverdale

Starring K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes

It won’t be long ‘til we make a return to Riverdale. Like its first two seasons, the third installment of the series follows Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and their friends as they navigate through the murky waters of friendship, romance and family. But the plot thickens as they find themselves involved deeper and deeper in the dark mysteries of their small town. Watch Season 3 of Riverdale on Netflix starting October 13.

Frankenweenie

Starring Charlie Tahan, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara

Delightfully childish and tongue-in-cheek, Frankenweenieis a lesser talked-about Halloween favorite. A horror comedy told through black-and-white stop motion, the film tells the story of a young boy, Victor, who resurrects his pet dog Sparky with the power of electricity. The experiment proves to be successful, but mayhem soon ensues when the rest of the kids in the neighborhood follow suit and bring their departed pets back from the afterlife. Stream Frankenweenie on DisneyLife this month!

The Walking Dead

Starring Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan
