Nine New Tracks to Check Out on Spotify: August 2020
New releases to beat those quarantine blues
As we face off with another month of quarantine, we turn our attention to the small pockets of joy that have helped us tide things over before. A tried and tested example of this has been new music releases—proven by Lady Gaga in May, Jessie Ware in June and Taylor Swift late last month.
While it goes without saying that we’re still on a folklore high, we’re making room for everything August has in store. Coming up? Joan’s newest EP cloudy dropping August 6 and Eyedress’ Let’s Skip To The Wedding studio album out on the 7th. Looking further ahead, there’s Troye Sivan’s In A Dream dropping on August 21 and Katy Perry’s fifth studio album Smile on the 28th.
In the meantime, what’s worth putting on heavy rotation as we kick off August? Scroll through and have a listen:
Clouds by Leila Alcasid, Moophs
my future by Billie Eilish
Reckoning by Alanis Morissette
Safe Place by Kiana V
On God by Massiah
Holiday by Little Mix
By Any Means by Jorja Smith
Kaori by Fern.
