9 New Tracks to Check Out on Spotify: November 2020

2020’s slipping right through our fingers, but hey, we’ve still got good music

In the thick of the routinary indoor life, it seems that there are very few things that can keep us sane. For some, it’s finally giving into the plantita or plantito life. For others, it’s checking out our carts a little more often than we should. For the rest, sanity might look like a new business venture. But as far as the gig-going, music-loving crowd is concerned, the one thing keeping us from tipping over is all the good music we’ve been getting throughout the pandemic.

Despite the world still trying to recover from COVID, musicians have been hard at work. It takes a certain kind of dedication to churn out music—oftentimes, good music at that—when it feels like the planet is on the brink of breaking, but the industry has been generous. Our secured sanity thanks you.

This month, we focus on early November releases that we’re certain will remain on heavy rotation until the end of the month. There’s a little OPM care of Ben&Ben, She’s Only Sixteen and crwn, whose double-sided single Moment to Moment is his first release since Labyrinth in 2019. This month’s dose of K-pop comes from Mamamoo and Park Jihoon, whose track GOTCHA is a standout from his new full-length. And then there’s Kylie Minogue, who proves that good disco music knows no age, no expiration.
