The Kingsman 2 Cast Looks Amazing, But We Have Questions
It looks like Harry Hart and Eggsy are going to have their hands full
Kingsman: The Secret Service was released in 2014, and its stellar cast and storyline pushed it to the forefront of the box office. We were pleasantly surprised to see Collin Firth star as Agent Harry Hart, the mentor to Taron Egerton’s Eggsy Unwin. This is partly why we’re so excited about the sequel, which is officially titled Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
But while we’re happy that Harry and Eggsy are making a comeback, we’re also excited by the growing cast. The sequel is going to include some very big Hollywood names, including Sir Elton John, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascual and Halle Berry
.A lot of the fine details have been kept under wraps, but we do know that the Kingsman organization will be teaming up with their US counterparts, the Statesman. The US agency is supported by the characters of Bridges, Pascual, Tatum and Berry. Meanwhile, Moore is playing the villain Poppy. John’s role in the film is still unclear.
John is no stranger to Hollywood, although he’s known most for his musical contributions and, despite his long career, has had limited onscreen time. It’s going to be an interesting revelation once Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters, but we do have a more pressing question.
We saw Harry get shot in the original film, which is why Eggsy, Roxy (Sophie Cookson) and Merlin (Mark Strong) had to stop Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) by themselves. We all assumed that Harry was dead. But Firth’s confirmed return to the franchise indicates that he actually didn’t die. Confusing, we know. We’d love to see how the production and writing crew are going to spin this one around.
Kingsman 2 is set to premiere internationally in September this year.
