Everything We Know About Stranger Things 2

Netflix is laying a lot down in October

Last week, we finally found out the official release date for Stranger Things 2 and we were suddenly revived. People began binge-watching the first season in preparation and reading up on everything that the internet had to offer.

We’re here to make it easier for you.

The all-important release date

Stranger Things 2 will premiere on Netflix on October 27.

The Upside Down really comes to life

The show’s composers have hinted that the Upside Down will have a larger role in the upcoming season as they admitted that audiences will “spend more time” in the other realm. Co-creator Ross Duffer has also gone on the record to say that some inquiries about it will finally be answered.

“The plan in that second season is to get into more of those questions,” he said. “Like why there was only one monster what the Upside Down is exactly.”

Eleven is back

Stranger Things propelled Millie Bobby Brown into international stardom and it’s no secret that her portrayal of Eleven also helped the Netflix original gain momentum. Fortunately, she’s back. Her situation, however, is unclear. After what she did to the Demogorgon, we really can’t tell what kind of state she’s in.

We don’t think Will is doing too well

The trailer showed us a glimpse of Will in an examination room with his mom and a doctor. He’s sitting on one of those cold chairs with a contraption attached to his head. But is the scene real or is it all in his head?

There are new things to look forward to (debatable)

The trailer also gave us a quick look at a new monster that will ravage Hawkins. On the other hand, there are also new humans to meet, like a former classmate of Joyce and Hopper named Bob. There’s also a new Department of Energy executive and a conspiracy theorist getting thrown into the mix.

We’re being thrusted a year into the future

It’s been confirmed that Stranger Things season 2 will begin a year after the last episode of season 1. Some Hawkins locals know about what has happened, while others are still left in the dark. But we’re willing to bet that those who still don’t know will soon have a rude awakening.

When will we know more?

The cast and crew of Stranger Things 2 are scheduled to make an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con, which is starting on July 20. Keep your ears and eyes out—we’re sure to hear more about season 2.
