We Dare You Not to Fall in Love with Taron Egerton from Kingsman

The Welsh actor is taking Hollywood by storm (and our hearts, too)

In 2015, audiences first got to see up-and-comer Taron Egerton play Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, a troubled street kid who gets recruited into a secret spy organization called “Kingsman.” What was considered the sleeper-hit of the year, Kingsman: The Secret Service (also starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Cane and Mark Strong) earned $414.4 million worldwide. And it’s safe to say, it put Taron Egerton on everyone’s radar.

This time around, moviegoers and fans of the comic by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons waited in anticipation for the September 2017 sequel. Kingsman: The Golden Circle was bigger and better than before: recruiting Academy Award-winning actresses Halle Berry and Julianne Moore for the production. Of course, it also marked the return of Taron Egerton. Let’s never forget Taron Egerton.

Beyond Kingsman, there’s a lot to love about the actor (who is set to play Robin Hood in 2018, too, mind you). The hunk with his boyish charm, piercing green eyes and washboard abs is an absolute charmer, which pretty much makes him the complete package.

How can you not to fall in love with Taron Egerton?

The role of Eggsy was written for another actor, but aren’t we all glad this beautiful man got the part?

When it comes to the action/adventure genre, he feels right at home.

The 27-year-old actor did most of his stunts in the Kingsman movies: “[The director of the film Matthew Vaughn’s] decree at the start of shooting was, ‘I really want to see if we can get Taron and Colin to do as much of this as is in their capabilities and is safe.’ So we worked with a great team, and he was taught his fights by a man named Rick English and I was taught by a man named Damien Walters. And yeah, we ended up doing most of it except for a couple little things,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

“Occasionally, the insurance company would step in and say, ‘No, that’s nuts,’ in which case… you know, Colin Firth breaks his neck on set and the film sinks, so Rick would step in and likewise for me, Damien,” he went on to say. “But yes, all of the fighting, you can clearly see it’s me and Colin. We trained alongside one another, Colin for even longer than me because he was cast before me. I don’t know, because I’ve never done a film before, but I’m told we do more stunts than is usual.”

In Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, he cleans up quite well.

And who doesn’t love a man in a suit?

You go wear that suit, Taron. You go do that.

GQ just had to add him to the list of 50 Best-Dressed Men in Britain, naturally. He jumped from the #40 spot in 2015 to #13 in 2016.

Btw, what’s underneath is just as glorious.

For the Kingsman franchise, Taron Egerton had to put in serious work: “Well I didn’t look how I look in the underwater scene when I got the part, that’s for sure,” he told Superhero Jacked. “I lost a lot of weight and built a lot of muscle. It was full-on, martial arts, gymnastics, all the time, for the nine weeks between getting the part, every moment when I wasn’t shooting on the show I was doing, I was training with a stunt team. I had a diet plan, a training regimen, all of it. It was a very physical part.”

Let’s also take time to appreciate his perfect jawline probably sculpted by the gods themselves.

Given these facts of life, he’d make a great James Bond, wouldn't he?

It has come up in interviews apparently—and quite often.

So is he after Daniel Craig’s job? “I’ve just done it, haven’t I? I’ve done it better,” jokes Egerton at the world premiere of Kingsman: The Secret Service in London. “No, not at all. Of course, any young man would love to play James Bond, but I don’t know. I’m more Eggsy, I think. I’m not quite smooth enough for James Bond.”

Surprisingly, he can also carry a tune:

It’s easy to get sucked into a YouTube black hole of Taron Egerton interviews because the guy is just so charming.

The Taron Egerton obsession has already made its way over to the United States.

He made his first US talk show appearance on The Ellen Show:

He can sit through an interview with Hugh Jackman and leave viewers undecided as to who’s more charming:

If that didn’t do it for you, this probably will: Here’s Taron playing with puppies in between press interviews.

And Taron trying to figure out what finger hearts are:

He also has no problem gazing at fellow men in admiration.

Someone even compiled a video dedicated to his bromance with Kingsman co-star Colin Firth.

Now that we’ve established we’re all in love with Taron Egerton, here’s a compilation of him winking to get you through the week:

What about that smile though?

It’s hard to believe this catch is single.
