We’re in for a very exciting, jampacked month on Netflix, where our entertainment fix means getting a helping of the limited series Naomi Osaka, the second season of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, the first part of Masters of the Universe: Revelation and the brand-new Centaurworld.
There are countless other strong contenders repping the docu-series, horror, video game spin-off, feel-good rom-com, sci-fi and kid-friendly genres, which only confirms: there’s something for everyone in July.

Young Royals
Starring: Samuel Astor, Mimmi Cyon, Uno Elger, Ingela Olsson and Felicia Truedsson
In this new Swedish Netflix original, a young Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) uproots his life and tries to start fresh when he’s sent away to Hillerska, a prestigious boarding school. He ultimately grapples with his newfound independence, duties that await him at home, and love and loyalty.
Young Royals premieres July 1.
Fear Street Part 1: 1994
Starring: Maya Hawke, Charlene Amoia, Kiana Madeira, David W. Thompson, Olivia Scott Welch, David W. Thompson and Benjamin Flores Jr.
The slasher film genre returns in full force with the horror trilogy Fear Street. Set to premiere throughout the month of July, the R.L. Stine adaptation kicks off with Part 1: 1994, which follows the eerie discovery of a group of teenagers concerning their hometown.

Ben X Jim
Starring: Teejay Marquez, Jerome Ponce, Kat Galang, Ron Angeles and Sarah Edwards
Ben X Jim, the Filipino Boy Love web series by Regal Entertainment, is coming to Netflix. A love story in the time of lockdown, it follows childhood friends Ben (Teejay Marquez) and Jim (Jerome Ponce) whose paths converge again when the pandemic hits and they have to quarantine next door to one another.

Atypical Season 4
Starring: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Keir Gilchrist, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Michael Rapaport and Graham Rogers
The fourth season of the hit family drama series Atypical marks an end but also a new beginning for Sam Gardner (Keir Gilchrist). As a person on the autism spectrum, this final chapter sees him continuing to adapt in the real world. His story—along with his family’s—reveals his heart-warming, unforgettable experience with adulthood, life’s rites of passage and going at it on his own.

Never Have I Ever Season 2
Starring: Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, Poorna Jagannathan and Aitana Rinab Perez
The coming of age of Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues, bringing the original cast of this Netflix original series back together. For season two, Never Have I Ever co-creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher reunite as well; they pick up where Devi last left off as she now deals with weighing out boyfriend prospects, the trials and tribulations of teenage life and navigating new relationships.

Kingdom: Ashin of the North
Starring: Jun Ji-Hyun, Byeong-eun Park
The hit South Korean action-drama series Kingdom reveals an important origin story ahead of its third season. In Kingdom: Ashin of the North, questions about the resurrection plant are answered and the mystery behind Ashin’s identity is finally unveiled.

The Last Letter From Your Lover
Starring: Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, Joe Alwyn, Callum Turner and Vilhelm Blomgren
The concept of “the one that got away” takes on a new world of meaning in Augustine Frizzell’s romantic drama. The film adaptation of Jojo Moyes’ novel with the same title follows reporter Ellie (Felicity Jones), who discovers love letters from the ‘60s between one Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley) and a man named B. The story of a secret affair soon unfolds—one that Ellie finds is far from over.
The Last Letter From Your Lover heads to Netflix on July 26.
The Last Mercenary
Starring: Jean-Claude Van Damme, Alban Ivanov, Samir Decazza, Assa Sylla and Eric Judor
Action superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme makes his Netflix debut with an action-comedy that brings together chaos and camaraderie. Van Damme takes up the role of Richard Brumère, a retired French secret service special agent that must band together a new crew of much younger mercenaries when a mob operation gets his son involved.
