Alicia Vikander shines as Lara Croft

It's a given Alicia Vikander has the chops to do just about any role serious justice: The past couple of years were a whirlwind of success for the 28-year-old Swedish actress, who took part in a string of highly acclaimed movies like The Light Between Oceans, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Ex Machina.

In 2015, she gave a stellar performance as Gerda in The Danish Girl winning her the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2016 Academy Awards—the first of many, for sure.

Alicia Vikander has cemented her place as a serious actress in the drama/romance genre. Up next? She sets her sights on action and adventure.

And we all know these jerks will end up eating their hearts out come March 2018, when the movie comes out in all major theaters.
