Valorant Taps Ylona Garcia
Her new single ‘Entertain Me’ introduces the new Filipino Valorant agent
19-year-old Filipino singer-songwriter Ylona Garcia charged into 2022 with a milestone: a partnership with Riot Games’ FPS video game, Valorant. On January 6, the multiplayer game announced the arrival of its 18th agent, Neon, who hails from Manila, Philippines, and is expected to make her debut appearance in Episode Four, Act One. The soundtrack to Neon’s new agent trailer? Ylona Garcia’s new single in partnership with Valorant entitled Entertain Me.
In a tweet, Garcia expressed her excitement over the release and partnership: “SURPRISE! excited to finally announce my partnership with Valorant! thank you [very, very] much for helping me keep my mouth shut until now, @PlayVALORANT! NEON IS SO COOL! LOVE HER TASTE IN MUSIC! ⚡️⚡️”
The track written by Antonio Egizii, David Mucumeci and Ylona Garcia was released on January 6 as well under 88rising. It now streams on all major platforms.
A day before Valorant players meet Neon online, 88rising also dropped the official Entertain Me music video on YouTube. Here, see Garcia step into a spaceship, where she settles in (and enjoys a dance break here and there). Neon makes a cameo, too. Watch the music video straight ahead:
