It Only Gets Stranger: The Latest 0917 by Globe Lifestyle Collection Pays Tribute to Stranger Things

It drops on the same day as season two’s world premiere on Netflix!

An exclusive Stranger Things collaboration to satisfy every Stranger Things fan: get a first look and first dibs.

For those who have been waiting in anticipation—meaning everyone, basically—for the epic return of the hit sci-fi horror series, here’s another thing to look forward to. 0917 by Globe Lifestyle is launching its official collab with Stranger Things featuring graphic tees, character art prints and the show’s signature red and blue color combo sprinkled throughout a 14-piece collection.

Here, there’s something for every kind of Stranger Things fan: from a version of Dustin’s trucker cap to a Hawkins High School letterman jacket, Eleven’s most quotable quote immortalized on a sweater to merch for those who still haven’t moved on from one of the first season’s unjust demises (if you believe Benny from the diner deserved better, 0917’s got you).

Side note: we also still believe in #JusticeForBarb.

The return of Eleven, the fate of Will and the origins of the Upside Down: Will we finally get some answers? The only thing for sure is that this season, it only gets stranger…and the hype surrounding this show isn’t going away anytime soon. Matt and Ross Duffer (the creators of the series, cunningly credited as the Duffer Brothers) told the press earlier this year that viewers are in for a real ride this time around. “The nice thing is we don’t have a kid disappearing in the first 10 minutes, so everybody’s not always turned up to 11 trying to save their friends,” shares Ross Duffer, differentiating the second season from the first. “It allows us to experience these characters more in their normal life for a bit, and have some fun with them. But then once things go wrong, we really escalate the stakes quickly and it gets pretty crazy toward the end.”

"It’s building off a lot of the ideas we established in season 1,” adds the other Duffer, Matt. “But it’s introducing new threats, new stakes and the idea is to resolve that more or less by the end of the season.”

Slated for a “Halloweekend” premiere, the collection will be available in stores and online as season two will be available for streaming only on Netflix. All these happen on Friday, October 27.

Rest assured Stranger Things fans have a lot to be excited about! And the folks at 0917 hope the fans love this collection just the way Eleven loves Eggos.

Welcome to Hawkins

Style Tip:

Consider yourself a part of the Hawkins High gang with the 0917 varsity jacket. Go full-on athletic chic by wearing this piece over a punchy sports tank and track pants in an equally eye-catching hue.

The Weirdo on Maple Street

Style Tip:

Put a spin on an all-black outfit by layering your pullover sweaters (for when the weather in the Philippines is a little more forgiving, of course). Try wearing a red turtleneck top underneath the "Friends Don't Lie" pullover to take your look to the next level.

Holly, Jolly

Style Tip:

Dare to double up on accessories? Step out of your style comfort zone by wearing a casual trucker cap with dressed up statement earrings.

Long Live Benny

Style Tip:

Borrow style elements from the French and combine them with all-American pieces. Upgrade this 1956 Benny's Burgers crew tee with a beret and suspenders.

The Upside Down

Style Tip:

Who says a fanny pack and a dressy skirt can't go together? This look is adventurous, current and pushes style boundaries without looking costumey. Say goodbye to your go-to handbag for now!

Should I Stay or Should I Go

Style Tip:

Cinch that waist and show it off with a corset belt and don’t be afraid to play around with layering when it comes to your basic tees.

The 0917 Stranger Things collection officially drops on October 27, Friday, and will be available at the Globe Iconic Store in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig, and select Globe GEN3 stores nationwide. You can also shop the collection online.
