Calling All Fur Parents: Ayala Malls Has Extended Their Pet-Friendly Spaces
Pets are not only welcome but get to enjoy fun, pet-friendly facilities, along with programs and events at the Ayala Malls
Your family’s next outing or errand day need not mean leaving your pets at home alone.
After opening its doors to household cats and dogs, Ayala Malls is taking things a step further by adding pet policies (or Pawlicies) to make its pet-friendly community better. These Pawlicies, more than point out the dos and don’ts for pet owners to keep in mind, ensure harmony in shared spaces so that everyone can have a great Ayala Malls experience.

“Pets are important members of the Ayala Malls community,” the organization shares in an official statement. “With almost 6,000 registered Petizens and counting, patrons can always expect furry companions adventuring the mall’s wide-open spaces, common areas and even restaurants.”
All pet owners have to do is follow three easy steps to join the Ayala Malls pet community:
1. Proceed to the Ayala Malls concierge. Present your pet’s vaccination records in order to secure a Pet ID.
2. Paw-rents with complete documents should present this Pet ID to the patrolling security guard upon entering any of the Ayala Malls.
3. Once inside, paw-rents should keep the Pet ID clipped on their pet’s collar or leash at all times. This is so they can gain access to the many pet-friendly facilities available—including Ayala Mall’s official dog park, Barkyard.

So that Ayala Malls can further serve the overall community better, the new Pet Pawlicies also include a three-tier system. “Malls with greater outdoor areas fall under the Lax Tier wherein pets of any size may enter both indoor and outdoor facilities,” the organization explains. “Those with less outdoor space follow the Limited Tier Pawlicies, which allow small pets both inside and outside the mall provided they are on carry-on bags or strollers. Lastly, the terms of the Hybrid tier vary per mall however it is geared more towards the enjoyment of pets within the mall’s outdoor premises.”
Other things to keep in mind? Collars must be worn by pets at all times. All pet leashes should not go over five feet in length, too. The rest of the rules of responsible paw-renting apply as usual: to clean up after your pets and dispose of any waste properly, depositing used wipes and disposable bags in the designated waste bins. Depending on the mall you plan to visit, diapers may be required or otherwise highly encouraged.
