Women 2020 Summit

#Women2020 Summit: Women in the Next Decade is a convergence of women’s rights advocates, human rights activists and civil society partners conversing about significant issues that affect women’s active, effective and productive participation in nation-building and global progress. Learn from the likes of Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Grace Poe and Mayor Joy Belmonte. This year’s theme, I Am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights is aligned with UN Women’s new multigenerational campaign, Generation Equality.

Existential Courage Conference

The Existential Courage Conference, a passion project of Arriane Serafico, is a celebration of hope, courage and persistence. Women in Science

Where: Areté Ateneo
Areté, in partnership with L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Programme, is hosting a panel discussion comprised of Filipina scientists with strong, established careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Noteworthy speakers include Rowena Cristina Guevara, Ph.D., Undersecretary for Research and Development from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Clarissa Segismundo from Microsoft Philippines, Antonia Bornas, Chief of Volcano Monitoring and Eruption Prediction Division, PHIVOLCS and more.
They will discuss how they began and grew in their careers and how the next generation can prepare for careers in STEM.

She Talks Asia: Stand Up, Feel Seen

The annual She Talks Asia conference is back this March 21. The fourth summit, entitled Stand Up, Feel Seen, is centered around the theme of owning your voice and who you are. Keynote speakers include Anna Oposa, Executive Director and Chief Mermaid of Save Philippines Seas (SPS), award-winning former Marvel Studios executive Corinna Vistan-Takahashi, Angely Dub, founder and CEO of Access Travel and Redgynn Alba, TV executive of GMA-7.
